Caroline Cecil
has 25 years' experience of communications consultancy both on the client and agency side. Before setting up Caroline Cecil Associates, she was a board director at Valin Pollen responsible for some of the agency's largest accounts including Eagle Star, NatWest and Visa International. She is chairman of the CIPR Corporate and Financial Group and vice-chairman and secretary of the Reform Club Media Group which includes leading business journalists.


Patricia Knox
became a communications consultant 11 years ago following a long career in the media in Canada and the UK. She was assistant city editor of the London Evening Standard and then chief press officer of the London Stock Exchange before moving to consultancy. She provides strategic planning advice and copywriting skills to a wide range of corporate, financial, professional services and institutional clients.


Jane Bird
has spent much of her career in the media. She was editor of Personal Computer World and has worked as a business journalist for national newspapers, magazines and online publications. She spent seven years on The Sunday Times and nine years as commissioning editor on Management Today. She also edited Executive Briefing, a newsletter for the venture capital and private equity community. Her work has appeared in the Financial Times, The Times, The Telegraph, Global Telecoms and Human Resources.


Mike Tate
was, until 2005, director of communications at a leading support services company, with responsibility for the group’s communications. Prior to that, he had spent four years as a director of a financial PR consultancy. This followed 25 years in financial journalism, including as city editor at The Times and in senior roles with the Observer and Daily Telegraph. He has covered a wide range of issues from major City takeovers and flotations to company collapses and frauds.


Peter Laing
worked in the City before moving into communications. Prior to joining Caroline Cecil Associates, he was a director at Abchurch Communications, director of corporate communications for SkyePharma plc and director of investor relations for Hikma Pharmaceuticals plc. He has many years of experience as an analyst and fund manager with Societe Generale/SG Cowen, Salomon Brothers/Citigroup, NM Rothschild and Charterhouse. He is an Oxford graduate in chemistry and pharmacology and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.


Juliet Jordan
, design consultant, has held senior design positions including 10 years at Gavin Anderson. She created the international corporate identity for APV and the award winning corporate identity for Barnardos. Other clients have included Austin Reed, British Gas, Coutts & Co, Glaxo, NatWest and RNIB.
